Good day doctors. The tommy of my 3 months baby is always making noise. I have given him gripe water but the noise is not stopping.
Is the noise something I should be worried of. What should I give him.
Please answer me.

Hello Joy,
Thank you for using Boulevard Consult.
Sounds made by the infant’s abdomen is usually normal and most times occur when the guts are having movements. It could be a sign that your baby is hungry and needs food.
Though bowel sounds could be normal, if the sound is too loud and high pitched, it may be a sign of something abnormal – obstruction of the guts. In this case, the sound is never alone but could be accompanied by the tommy getting bigger, vomiting, tommy pain and an urge to vomit (nausea).
